No. The program is open to bootstrapped, pre-seed, and venture-backed startups. If you’re backed by a VC in our partner network, you can also get up to $100K in additional API credits, claimed through your VC.

Yes. Members who receive credits through the program automatically get higher API rate limits.
Only orgs that are new to Teams qualify for this offer.
No. Claude Startups credits apply to the first-party Claude API through Claude Console. They can’t be used on AWS Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, or other third-party platforms.
Approved members who are new to Claude Team get one year free for up to five Premium seats. After you’re accepted, you’ll get an email from us with a link to the Claude Startups page in Claude Console. Sign in there to claim your Claude Team offer.
Every approved company gets $1,000 in Claude API credits. Once you’re accepted, sign in to the Claude Startups page in Claude Console and claim them there. Credits expire six months after they’re granted.
No. As a member of our Claude for Startups program you are now eligible to redeem the offers in the console.
We review every application. Most are decided within minutes; the rest go to a manual review, which usually takes 2–3 business days. You’ll get an email as soon as there’s a decision.
Applied AI office hours are 45-minute live sessions for members, held every other week. Accepted members get a link to register by email and in the Claude Startups portal.
