The add-on is in beta on all paid Claude plans, in Chrome, Edge, and Safari.
Install it from the Google Workspace Marketplace, or your admin can deploy it to your domain or selected groups. Then open Claude from the Extensions menu.
In the add-on, Claude can access only its sidebar and the file you opened it in, plus any connectors you turn on. Google lists both of those permissions before you allow access. When you edit Google files from Claude on web or desktop, Claude can reach any file your Google Drive permissions allow.

Ask Claude to grab a Google file, or paste a Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides link into Claude on web or desktop, and on supported setups the file opens beside the chat for you and Claude to edit together. Turn on the Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides connectors (beta). Access follows your Google Drive permissions.
