We’re expanding the Claude Startups program to help founders build
Today we’re expanding Claude Startups, our program for founders building companies on Claude. Member benefits include a year of the Claude Team plan, API credits, special offers on tools that help with running an AI-native company, office hours with Anthropic’s Applied AI team, and more.
Why we’re expanding the program
It’s never been more possible to turn an idea into a product. A small team can build a prototype in record time, and people without a coding background can ship working software. But an idea is only the first step. When anyone can build quickly, it’s harder to know what will set your product apart, especially as the models underneath it keep improving. Founders also have to cover the costs of getting started, and the right tools are hard to find and set up quickly. This is where a close partnership helps: time with the people building the models can make a difference in learning where they’re heading, deciding where to differentiate, and working through these challenges early.
This is why we created Claude Startups. Since launching the program earlier this year, members have gotten Claude credits and tools, connection to a community of builders, and access to ecosystem news and product features. Many fast-growing AI-native companies have joined the program, and in this next phase we’re opening it up to more.

We want founders who build on Claude to succeed, and the most useful thing we can do early is give you access to our models and products from the beginning. Claude gets meaningfully more capable every few months, and a company built for what’s coming can put our models to use the day they launch.
Claude Startups members can get up to $7,000 in Claude products and credits to build*:
- A free year of Claude Team: up to five Premium seats for companies new to Team.
- A one-time API credit of $1,000 to start building: available as soon as you’re approved, so you can get started right away—wire up the API, test a few ideas, and run early evals.
Tools to run an AI-native company
The new Claude Startup Stack is a set of benefits for the tools a startup runs on, from sales to design to data engineering. Members can receive discounts and credits worth up to $45,000 from companies building with Claude**.

Members also get a support system for growing their business, from reaching new customers to solving technical problems with our team and learning alongside other founders.
- Stay close to Anthropic: Members are able to book virtual office hours with Anthropic’s Applied AI team.
- Reach Claude users: Claude Marketplace is where people using Claude find connectors and plugins, so an approved listing puts your product in front of them across Claude’s apps. Members get hands-on help building theirs and submitting it for review.
- Connect with community: Get access to events like Founder House, hackathons, and meetups (space is limited), and access to our Startup Newsletter, which includes product and ecosystem news and a chance to be featured.

Startups founded in the last five years or funded in the last two are eligible to apply. We created this program because we believe the benefits of AI will reach most people through the companies that build on top of models, rather than through the models alone. That makes partnering closely with founders and developers central to our mission. AI will equip them to bring society faster scientific discoveries, entirely new categories of products, and more capable businesses.
