Superpowers is a comprehensive skills framework that teaches Claude structured software development methodologies. It provides composable skills for test-driven development (TDD), systematic debugging, brainstorming, subagent-driven development with built-in code review, and the ability to author new skills.

The plugin enforces disciplined practices like "red-green-refactor" TDD cycles where tests must fail before implementation, a four-phase debugging methodology that requires root cause investigation before any fixes, and Socratic brainstorming sessions that refine requirements before coding begins.

How to use: Invoke skills with slash commands like /brainstorming to explore requirements and design before implementation, or /execute-plan to run batched implementation plans with review checkpoints. The framework includes a code-reviewer agent that evaluates implementations against plans, coding standards, and architectural principles.

For debugging, the systematic methodology guides you through root cause investigation, pattern analysis, hypothesis testing, and implementation—with safeguards that trigger architectural review after three failed fix attempts. The writing-skills module teaches you to author and test new skills using TDD principles applied to documentation.
