Rakuten's AI-nization: Autonomy × empowerment
At Rakuten, we evaluate the value of AI agent along two dimensions: how autonomously an agent can run, and how broadly it can empower people across our business. This session shares the wins and challenges we've encountered driving AI-nization across the company — how we evaluate models to maximize business value, why the ceiling is set by how work is structured rather than by model intelligence, and how we turn AI memory into a corporate asset. With real examples from production.
