Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at Code with Claude ("Conference") must agree to abide by this Code of Conduct, which Anthropic will enforce throughout the Conference. We expect everyone to work together to help ensure a safe, inclusive, and productive environment for all participants.

Our Commitment

Code with Claude is dedicated to providing a harassment-free and inclusive experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity or expression, age, sexual orientation, disability or accessibility needs, physical appearance or body size, race, ethnicity, or national origin, native language, religion or lack thereof, technology choices or professional background, career stage or level of experience, or any other personal characteristic.

We do not tolerate harassment in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any Conference context, including talks, workshops, social events, and online channels associated with the Conference.

Unacceptable Behavior

  • The following behaviors are considered unacceptable at Code with Claude:
  • Offensive verbal or written comments related to any of the characteristics listed above
  • Lewd, sexually explicit, or obscene language, gestures, or imagery in public spaces
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
  • Harassing photography or recording of any attendee without consent
  • Sustained disruption of sessions, workshops, or other Conference activities
  • Unwelcome physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention of any kind
  • Clothing or behavior that is provocative, offensive, or unsuitable for a professional environment
  • Destruction or vandalization of personal property, venue property, or Conference materials
  • Possession of any illegal substance
  • Possession of open alcohol containers outside designated areas, or being excessively intoxicated
  • Smoking or vaping in areas not designated for that purpose
  • Any unlawful act or behavior that violates venue rules or instructions from Conference staff
  • Unauthorized photography, recording, or streaming of sessions marked as confidential

Expected Behavior

  • All Conference participants are expected to:
  • Treat all participants with respect and consideration, refraining from discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate behavior and speech
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and your fellow participants; alert Conference staff if you notice a dangerous situation or if you or someone else is in distress
  • Comply with all requests from Conference staff and venue personnel
  • Respect the intellectual property and confidentiality designations of all sessions and materials

Reporting

If someone makes you or anyone else feel unsafe or unwelcome, please report it to a member of the Conference staff as soon as possible. Staff are available at the registration desk at the main entrance throughout the Conference.

If you experience or witness a life-threatening emergency, contact local authorities immediately:

  • United States (San Francisco): 911
  • United Kingdom (London): 999
  • Japan (Tokyo): 110 (police) / 119 (ambulance and fire)

Code of Conduct violations reduce the value and safety of the Conference for everyone. You can make a report personally or anonymously.

If you witness a violation and feel comfortable doing so, you may let the person know that their behavior is inappropriate and ask them to stop. If the behavior continues, or if you are uncomfortable speaking directly:

  • Contact Conference staff as soon as possible, in person at the registration desk or by email at codewithclaude@regsvc.com
  • A staff member will immediately address the issue and take appropriate further action

When taking a personal report, our staff will ensure you are safe and cannot be overheard. We may involve other Conference staff to ensure your report is handled properly. Once you are safe, we will ask you to tell us what happened. We will handle your report as respectfully as possible. You are welcome to bring someone with you for support. You will not be asked to confront anyone, and we will not disclose your identity to the individual involved or to other attendees.

Our team can assist you to:

  • Contact venue security, local law enforcement, or local support services
  • Provide an escort or other assistance to help you feel safe for the remainder of the Conference
  • We value your presence and appreciate your attendance at Code with Claude.

Sponsor Obligations

Sponsors are subject to this Code of Conduct. In particular, sponsors and their staff must not use sexualized images, activities, or other material at any Conference-associated booth, session, or event. Sponsor representatives are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times consistent with this Code of Conduct.

Anthropic Staff Obligations

Anthropic event organizers and staff will not use sexualized clothing, uniforms, or costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment. Anthropic staff are held to the same standard as all other Conference participants under this Code of Conduct.

Enforcement

Anyone asked to stop any harassing behavior or Code of Conduct violation must do so immediately. If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, Conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including a formal warning, removal from the Conference without refund, or notification of and engagement with local law enforcement.

Anthropic reserves the right to remove any attendee from the Conference for violations of this Code of Conduct or the Conference Terms & Conditions, without refund.

Photography and Recording

By attending the Conference, attendees consent to being photographed, filmed, and/or recorded by Anthropic or its designated representatives for marketing, promotional, and educational purposes, as set out in the Conference Terms & Conditions. Attendees may take photographs of the Conference for personal, non-commercial use only. Photography or recording for commercial purposes requires prior written consent from Anthropic.

Certain sessions will be designated as confidential or no-recording. These sessions will be clearly marked. Attendees must comply with these designations. Harassing photography or recording of any attendee without their consent is strictly prohibited.
