DRI-ing Your Career
Your career is yours. It always was - but when the market was hot, it didn't seem like you needed to think about it. Now you do. This session is about being the DRI, Directly Responsible Individual, for your own career: the power you actually have to shape it, how to build yourself when no one's offering to, and getting coachable enough to grow from the hard moments. This topic is personal, so there are no clear answers - we'll give you some structures and prompts to help you figure out what makes sense for you.
This session is a part of the Guest Lecture: Leadership in Engineering series. Views expressed are the speakers' own, not Anthropic's.

Ce que vous apprendrez
Set a career goal that's genuinely in your control (a "proximate objective") and start planning it with a simple framework.
Get more out of feedback: tell what to act on from what to set aside.
Spot the signals that it's time to move on.
