These are firm positions on how the Connectors Directory operates.

There is no fee

Directory inclusion is free. It is not pay-to-play and never will be.

No agreement is required

Standard directory inclusion does not require a negotiated agreement with Anthropic. You meet the technical requirements, agree to the Software Directory Policy and Software Directory Terms, and authorize Anthropic to process your submission under its Privacy Policy. That’s it.

One review process for everyone

There is no preferred-connector designation, no expedited review track, and no recommending one connector over another. The directory is a level playing field. Review times vary with queue volume.

Anthropic does not co-build

Anthropic does not co-build branded products or agents on the Claude platform with individual partners. There is no “Claude X powered by Partner” program.

Anthropic does not co-sell data

Anthropic does not co-sell or promote third-party data products.

Directory terms are not negotiated by default

The Software Directory Terms apply as written. Rare exceptions exist for strategic partnerships and are handled exclusively by Anthropic’s Product Partnerships team.

Connector terms do not grant training rights

Anthropic’s connector terms do not grant Anthropic the right to train models on partner data. Claude queries your MCP server based on the user’s prompt and returns output to the user. Storage and use of those outputs are governed by the user’s consumer or commercial terms. Remote MCP servers are strongly recommended over local servers. Local server submission exists but is a secondary path.

Support is self-serve

Anthropic does not provide individual build consultation. Use these docs, the MCP specification, and Anthropic Academy. Review feedback comes through the directory submission process. Strategic partnerships do exist for launch partners and ecosystem anchors, but they are initiated by Anthropic based on user needs—there is no application process.
