This is Pack Monadnock. It's a hike about 20 minutes from my house. The word "Pack" is indian for small. This mountain is about 15 minutes from Mt. Monadnock (the most climbed mountain in the world. Mt. Fuji is second).

A view from the NH town I live in. The town has a lot of granite quarries and this photo is taken from a bridge made of granite. NH is known as the granite state.

A fellow traveler on a walk up the mountain.

Franconia notch, The Basin near Kinsman Falls. This picture was selected to be shown on WMUR TV during the weather segment. They asked people to email them photos of the fall foliage and they got 500 to 1,000 pictures. I didn't know they were going to show my photo. I was working and had the TV on. Then I heard "and here's a nice picture of Franconia Notch from Claude" and I turned to look at the TV and saw my photo with my name next it.

Cannon mountain in Franconia notch looking north.

Skiing down the slopes. My idea of real fun.
